The Robert Talbott × Cockpit USA Captain Varsity Jacket draws inspiration from one of the most recognizable pieces in American sportswear. With roots in the collegiate letterman tradition of the late 19th century, the varsity jacket evolved from a symbol of athletic achievement into an icon of personal style. By the 1980s, it had found a new identity in New York's emerging hip-hop scene, where Cockpit USA founder Jeff Clyman helped popularize bold, graphic interpretations of the American classic.

Made in the USA, the Captain honors that history with a more luxurious approach to the traditional varsity silhouette. A substantial wool-blend body is paired with exceptionally soft 100% lambskin leather sleeves, preserving the distinctive contrast that has defined the jacket for generations.
