Bringing together two distinct expressions of American craftsmanship, the Cockpit USA x Robert Talbott Air Corps Button Flight Jacket draws inspiration from the leather flight jackets worn by U.S. Air Corps pilots in the 1920s,  including the iconic A-1.  This modern interpretation pays tribute to the early days of American military aviation, when leather became an essential layer for pilots flying open-cockpit biplanes.

Cut and sewn in the USA from exceptionally soft lambskin leather, this refined interpretation combines the character of an early aviation original with Robert Talbott’s considered approach to American menswear. Lightweight and exceptionally soft to the touch, it is designed as a versatile three-season layer that transitions effortlessly from heritage-inspired style to modern everyday wear.

The classic button-front silhouette is thoughtfully updated with a rib-knit, self-closing collar for added comfort and versatility, while authentic aviation details remain throughout. Knitted cuffs and waistband preserve the jacket’s original character, while a breathable cotton lining provides comfort and durability. Two front flap pockets with side-entry hand warmers offer practical storage and warmth, complemented by a single interior pocket and seven genuine horn buttons that complete the design.
